Pork Fried Rice Recipe

Ingredients

Vegetable Oil

Onion, thinly sliced

Piece ginger, chopped

Celery stalks, sliced on the diagonal

Chinese or savoy cabbage shredded

Cooked roast pork strips

Cooked long-grain rice

Eggs slightly beaten

Directions

  1. Heat 2 tbs of oil in large frying pan.
  2. When hot, add the onion and ginger.
  3. Stir-fry for 2 min.
  4. Add Celery and carrots and fry for 5 min, stirring constantly.
  5. Stir in cabbage, pork, pepper, soy sauce and rice and cook, stirring constantly, for 2 to 3 min, or until mixture has heated through.
  6. Remove from the heat and keep hot while you make the garnish.
  7. Heat the remaining oil in a small frying pan.
  8. When hot, add the beaten eggs and salt and cook for 2 minutes.
  9. When the bottom has set, turn the omelet over and cook for a further 2-3 minutes, or until completely set.
  10. Remove from pan and cut the omelet into strips about 1 inch by 1/4 inch.
  11. Transfer the rice mixture to a warmed serving dish.
  12. Garnish with the omelet strips and serve at once.
