Garlic Custard Recipe

Ingredients

Heads garlic, split into cloves and smashed

Canned chicken broth

Directions

  1. Vegetable oil for greasing molds 1.
  2. Lightly grease 8 ramekins (2 1/2 inch size) with oil.
  3. Set aside 2.
  4. Combine garlic, broth, olive oil and cream in a 4 cup glass measure.
  5. Cover tightly with microwave plastic wrap.
  6. Cook at 100% for 10 min.
  7. Remove from oven.
  8. Uncover and pass through medium disk of a food mill.
  9. Stir in eggs and salt.
  10. Pour 1/4 cup of mixture into each prepared ramekin.
  11. Cover each tightly with plastic wrap.
  12. Arrange around inside rim of a 12 in. platter or on carousel.
  13. Cook at 100% for 3 1/2 min.
  14. Pierce plastic with the tip of a sharp knife.
  15. Remove from oven.
  16. Uncover each and unmold onto a serving platter.
  17. Serve immediately.
