Sloppy Al's Tofu (just For You Al) Recipe

Regular tofu, frozen, thawed and squeezed

Soy sauce

Prepared mustard

Worcestershire sauce

Directions

  1. Prepare tofu and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, saute the onion and peppers in 3 tablespoons oil until just tender.
  3. Add tomato sauce, chili powder, salt, pepper, oregano, soy sauce, mustard and sugar.
  4. Stir and simmer for 20 ~25 minutes.
  5. Heat the other 3 tablespoons oil in a heavy skillet and add tofu and worcestershire sauce.
  6. Stir until tofu is nicely browned and worcestershire sauce is absorbed.
  7. Add tomato sauce mixture and simmer another 5 minutes.
  8. Serve over sandwich buns with plenty of green salad.
