Oriental Rice Salad Recipe

Ingredients

Jar Pimento, sliced or diced

Rice, raw

Soy Sauce

Toasted Sesame Seeds

Fresh Bean Sprouts

Green Onions with tops

Directions

  1. Slice mushrooms and onions.
  2. Drain pimento.
  3. Add enough water to broth to make 2 1/2 cups.
  4. Bring to a boil in a medium saucepan.
  5. Stir in rice.
  6. Cover tightly and simmer for 20 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat and let stand, covered, until all liquid is absorbed; about 5 minutes.
  8. Transfer rice to large bowl.
  9. Combine oil, soy sauce, salt and sesame seeds (optional); mix well.
  10. Stir into hot, cooked rice.
  11. Cover and chill.
  12. Stir in remaining ingredients before serving.
