Meat, cut in strips (beef, chicken, or other)

To 2 oz black olives

To 2 oz green olives with pimento

To 6 lg mushrooms, sliced, or 1 small can (optional)

Can tomato sauce

To 3 oz barbeque sauce (Bullseye is my choice)

Butter or margarine
Directions
- Mother Murphy's Barbequed Rice main dish makes 4 servings Begin by preparing rice, bringing to a rolling boil in water, then covering and cooking on low for 50 minutes (more or less).
- Stir in butter until melted.
- About half-way through the 50 minutes, begin the sauce.
- Brown meat in oil.
- Combine all other ingredients with meat, let simmer 10 minutes.
- Serve over rice.
- The meat may be flavored while cooking with garlic or other spices to taste.
- It is not recommended that any spices be added to the sauce with the other ingredients after the meat is cooked.
- No additional salt should be added, as there is plenty in the green olives.
